When you hold a Coolamon Baby blanket in your hands, you're holding more than soft organic cotton. You're holding a story of culture, of care, of connection.
Coolamon Baby began with a simple belief: every baby deserves a strong beginning. For many Aboriginal families in regional and remote communities, those early days can be filled with challenges - limited access to essentials, distance from support, and a lack of culturally safe care.
Through years of working alongside Aboriginal Health Services, it became clear that there was a powerful way to offer both practical support and cultural connection - by delivering baby care bundles, known as Coolamons, directly into the hands of new mothers. These bundles are more than helpful items. They’re a symbol of respect and care - a way of saying you are not alone, you are seen, you are supported.
Coolamon Baby was created to sustain and expand this work.
We are a social enterprise - a purpose-led baby brand that creates heirloom-quality wraps and blankets, inspired by Country and grounded in culture. Every product we sell helps fund the delivery of Coolamons through our charity partner, Coolamon Community.
We work in close partnership with Aboriginal artists, like Nickolla Clark, whose designs reflect stories of birthing, healing and the deep relationship between mothers and Country. Our Art Series Blankets are made from certified organic cotton and crafted with care, using ethical and transparent supply chains.
Coolamon Baby is about more than beautiful products. It’s about passing on stories. Stories of connection, community and the quiet strength of Aboriginal motherhood. Stories that deserve to be seen, heard and celebrated.
This blog is a place to share those stories - from the cultural meaning behind our designs, to the communities we support, to the values that guide everything we do.
Thank you for joining us at the beginning. Together, we’re wrapping the next generation in love, culture and community.
